My Big Announcement

October 21st, 2009 | 12 Comments | Posted in introduction

I promised I will make an announcement this week, so please read until the end of this post for some really exciting news…

Just to remind you, my course is going to cover the basics of affiliate marketing, which is how I earn my income online.

It will have very simple step-by-step instructions that will take you from not knowing what affiliate marketing means to having a small steady income stream, which will eventually lead to a full-blown online business.

It will allow you to work from home and choose your own hours.

Originally I said I would only accept 20 people to my program, but I’ve changed that number to 50.  Unfortunately (or fortunately) lots of people are interested in the course.  A lot more than 50.  But I really can’t take any more than that because I want to give you the individual help that you will need.

Acceptance will be on a first come first serve basis.  Once we reach 50 students, I will need to close the course.

I think I’ve already answered all the questions that I received on this blog, except for one.

Recently I got a question from Kim asking what kind of online stores you can sell products for.  Well, the options are really endless.

Here is a screen shot of some of my earnings between October 6 and October 14.  I greyed out the name of the website that generated the sales because I don’t want anyone to copy exactly what I am doing.  But you can see the stores that I have made sales for:

This just a sample of the stores that I personally work with, and there are a lot more out there.
And here comes the big announcement:

You will be able to join the course tomorrow at 4pm Eastern Time. I will send you a link to the sign up page then.

I am so excited, this is so cool.  I can’t wait to get you all earning some money – it will be my dream come true!

How to Tell if an Online Business is a Scam

    October 2nd, 2009 | 9 Comments | Posted in introduction

Today I want to discuss a comment that Sandra posted on the blog yesterday.

    She asked 2 excellent questions.

    1. How is this different than all the other marketing solutions out there?

    2. How do I know that this is not a scam or pyramid scheme?

I will answer the second question first.

So how do you know if any online business offer is a scam?

Here are some clues you might get:

    1. They don’t tell you what the business is about until you pay them.

    2. The business does not have customers or does not add value to those customers.

    3. They do not provide a contact.

If the business is a pyramid scheme or an MLM network they will require you to buy their products when you join.

BTW I am not saying that MLM networks are a scam, but I’m really not into that kind of stuff. From what I’ve seen the top few people do really well, and the (many) ones down below can’t really make a living.

Now, let me explain again in different words what this business is about, so you understand that:
    A. It is legitimate
    B. It is different from other solutions out there

Which will answer both of Sandra’s questions.

Let’s say I want to buy a Tickle Me Elmo for my son’s birthday, and the birthday is tomorrow. I go to Google and search for:

    ‘tickle me elmo shipped overnight’

Then I look at all the links Google shows me and find an article that Sandra wrote about how to get a Tickle Me Elmo shipped to me overnight. Maybe she lists the stores that ship overnight, or gives other tips to make sure I actually get the toy on time.

I click on the link and read the information that Sandra sent me, and see that she links to a store that ships these Elmo dolls. Let’s say the store is Amazon.

I click on Sandra’s link to Amazon and buy the doll.

Sandra gets a commission from Amazon.

    Now everybody is happy.

I am happy because I got what I wanted and didn’t have to do any extensive research for it.

Amazon is happy because they made a sale.

And Sandra is happy because she gets a commission.

And that is a very important point about what we will be doing. We will not be trying to trick anybody into buying something they don’t want or need. But rather we will be helping people online get what they want.

    We make everybody happy!

I hope things are clearer now.  If you have any other questions about how it works, feel free to post them below. I am very open about what I do, and would like to help as many moms (or dads) to be able to do it too.

And regarding my contact address – you should already have my email address, but you can also contact me here.
